7. The Helicopter Ride
While Grimblegrot flies the helicopter, Curly and Boysie gaze down at the land beneath them.
"Here's the river," says Grimblegrot. "We'll go down lower and follow it."
"I'll look out this side," says Curly. "You keep an eye open on that side, Boysie."
"But what am I keeping an eye open for?" Boysie asks.
"Anything strange," Grimblegrot tells him. "If you see anything that looks wrong, just shout."
The friends follow the river for some distance
until Grimblegrot spots something.
"Look!" he cries. "There's something
strange in the river."
"Oh yes!" says Curly. "Whatever can it be?"
"There's only one way to find out," says Grimblegrot. "Down we go!"
As the helicopter drops towards the water it begins to make a strange noise.
"Oh dear," says Grimblegrot. "I think the engine is broken. Don't worry. I can land safely."
